How can baking biscuits ever be quick? You usually must have a scale, carefully measure out all the components, caress the dough to ages, cut out little cookies in to heart, moon and star shapes then wait another century'til they're baked.
NEVER EVER would I bake biscuits under these conditions. That is just not how I roll. But after that I came across those Banana Oatmeal Fitness Cookies (that is what I call them, anyway.)
Okay, they don't taste exactly like the cookies you receive round Christmas time. Instead they are a little more gooey and do not crumble at all.
But what mostly convinced me was that you could have them ready in 25 minutes including the baking time! No shit.
Probably the most surprising thing about the biscuits is they involve just 2 ingredients! Yep that is correct, and anyone can blend two components.
Though in case you want to make them tastier and/or fitter you can pimp them up using a few add ons such as peppers, walnuts or cinnamon. That is Your Choice!
It sounds more and more like a sales pitch (it is not -- nobody is gont cover me should you consume them), however I have to mention one more amazing thing about those cookies.
They're tasty! Yep, after I'd had the very first I finished the rest inside one hour.
They are perfect for hiking trips or other occasions where you will need a quick pleasant bite on the go. Nowadays I keep these as a quick bite in my backpack.
It also has to be noted that they're vegan. No eggs, no milk, none of the regular cookie suspects. Simply oats and bananas.
Banana look at these guys Oatmeal Fitness Cookies.
Take oats such as. Not only do they reduce your cholesterol levels which consequently will help you prevent developing heart disease or diabetes, but in addition they energize you with good carbs and nutrients to help keep you going for more during the day.
These nutrients contain manganese, great for bone creation and skin ethics as well as magnesium -- important for energy generation to make you feel more awake
Same with bananas -- the favorite fruit among athletes -- not just because they have a decent number of good carbohydrates but also for being the huge players in the potassium video game.
Potassium is a very important nutrient for preventing fatigue and muscular cramps. Pretty good if you have a tough day ahead of you.
Since you can see, I'm a big fan.
Here is a good illustration of if I might have done with a couple of those biscuits. Regrettably, I didn't have them with me.
Perhaps you have been stuck somewhere in nature and thought"damn I am in trouble!" ? If so, where? Simply combine peas and peas and bake them for 15 minutes. Best for when you want a power boost on the go. Enjoy!
Preheat the oven to 180°C (360°F)
Get a bowl and mash the bananas until they're mushy
Add the cup of oats and any of the optional ingredients
Stir until everything is well mixed
Put baking paper on the tray so the cookies don't adhere. If you do not have that make sure to wash the baking tray with butter (or olive oil if you are vegetarian )
To make the cookie contour just grab a spoon and scoop a decent amount from the mixture onto the baking tray like I did at the photo above. It's super quick and effortless.
EQUIPMENT: You just need a strong baking tray and some parchment paper, cool also.
